A Tomato Eulogy: Today I wish you farewell, 17 would-be tomatoes that will never be. I don’t know if I can say “Rest in peace” because you were never awake. I really think you could have tried harder, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed. Unfortunately we don’t have any fond memories to look back on, and I’m not going to insult any of our intelligence by saying I’ll always remember you. May you sprout successfully in another life.
